We're Back

Well, Sarah and Dave have made it back to the US in two healthy pieces. We've been recovering at Darin and Lisa's for a few days now....some much needed rest. I'll post a few photos now and maybe a story a little later. This photo is Sares in the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo. This is one of the nicest Plazas I've seen in South America. We were mobbed by Peruvians trying to sell us tours to the many local ruins, so I carefully explained to them that SARAH HAS NO INTEREST IN RUINS!!!! and bugger off! We had a great time and wish we were still there, but also look forward to being reunited with the orange cat and white dog. DB

Special Christmas Delivery....

Straight from the North Pole - "Yule" the Christmas Elf arrived at our house today after an exhausting trip from the North Pole. Santa sent Yule to Sydnee to watch over her this Christmas season. He will return to Santa every night to give him a daily report. Santa wants to make sure Sydnee is being a good girl. Yule even said he may bring a few special surprises... Fun, fun, fun!

It was great to spend time with Uncle Dave & Aunt Sars before their expedition to Peru. Thanks to Dale & Susan Richey for inviting us to their house to help them decorate their Christmas tree and decorate Christmas cookies. It was great fun!!!

SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Snow Day!!!!!!!!!! Chris and I have been awake on and off since 3 o'clock this morning thanks to our own little weather man "Chopper" he was up and ready to play as soon as he heard the first snowflake drop...

Happy Thanksgiving

We just want to wish all of you a happy thanksgiving even though it is the day after. Hope all of you had a great day with family and friends. And one last thing go UTES!!!! Dad and Pat (that was from me not Pat).

WHA HOO - Syndee writes her first letter!!

Yesterday at preschool, Sydnee learned about the letter "H". She telling Scott and I all about it - she was even drawing the two straight lines in the air with her finger.. So, we went to dinner and she was drawing on a piece of paper (cheap entertainment) and I asked her if she wanted me to write the letter "H" for her - she said "yes". So I wrote a big "H" and a little "h" for her. Scott and I were talking and she said "I did it" - I glanced down at her paper and had to do a doubletake - she had written the letter "H". Oh my gosh, what a proud parent moment - we were so excited - had we not been in the middle of the restaurant we would have done the happy dance. It is so fun to watch her learn new things everyday.... Love her, love her, love her!
