So...

What do you think of the new addition? Thanks Haley!

(If you have any requests, send them to Haley via email...)

WHA HOO - Syndee writes her first letter!!

Yesterday at preschool, Sydnee learned about the letter "H". She telling Scott and I all about it - she was even drawing the two straight lines in the air with her finger.. So, we went to dinner and she was drawing on a piece of paper (cheap entertainment) and I asked her if she wanted me to write the letter "H" for her - she said "yes". So I wrote a big "H" and a little "h" for her. Scott and I were talking and she said "I did it" - I glanced down at her paper and had to do a doubletake - she had written the letter "H". Oh my gosh, what a proud parent moment - we were so excited - had we not been in the middle of the restaurant we would have done the happy dance. It is so fun to watch her learn new things everyday.... Love her, love her, love her!

Since it is Thanksgiving time - I thought you would enjoy Syd's Thanksgiving art project..... We are all THANKFUL for you..... Love & kisses, Lisa

Breaking News from the Greenberg's!

Avery is a finalist in the Reflections contest at Emerson Elementary! The theme this year is "I can make a difference..". Avery's idea was "I can make a difference by lowering gas prices!" Here is her picture. She now moves on to compete in the district competition.

And here is Avery, relishing
her time in the spotlight...

By the way, did you know if you click on the photos they enlarge? Try it and you will see the dollar bills coming out of the exhaust on Avery's picture.

Darin and Liser Chopping Wood

Well, it's probably still about 75-80 in Red Bluff, but I thought I'd post a photo of Darin and Liser in winter mode. In this particular photo they were splitting oak for the fireplace. Hey guys, chop some for Lilz! Nice shed by the way.

Hello Everybody!

We are so excited to post photos and a few words on the Da Bell's Blog. First photo is Sares showing you our great new overstuffed white leather chair with jabba the cat in it (we saved for months and months to make this purchase) (actually we're stuck with them). Also note, Miss Cali chillin' over at the sliding glass door on her Costco bed. MC is currently down to 70 lbs. and overcoming a bout with some rogue lice that were trying to get a free ride.
She is no worse for the wear and still runs down the driveway (the next photo) like a puppy dog every morning. She will be 14 in March by my account.

The last photo is from the top of Crystal Cross Mtn. just south of our house (about a 30 minute hike). I tracked wolves over this spot a couple of days ago and heard them howling down below me! It is such a beautiful place. We love our new home! We would love to share it with you so please call and make a plan to visit.

Much love to all,
dave and sares

THIS IS SO FUN!!

Sydnee and I couldn't wait to add to our family blog so I thought we would share this funny photo. Just a few minutes ago, Sydnee was very quiet - quiet is not good sometimes. I went to see what she was doing and found her in her room putting on her snow boots. Love the outfit - there is nothing like panties and snow boots. What a crack-up. She is such a sweetheart!!!

Can't wait to hear from you all - post soon...... XOXO, Lisa & Syd

FINALLY!!!

Just in time for the holidays, our blog is up and running!
For Chloie, a costume was not cool. Avery decided to dress up as "JUST a witch", not a fancy witch, not a scary witch, and certainly not a pregnant witch (DUH!)
On Halloween night, we had a great dinner at Lisa's house and the girls went trick-or-treating! Syd got in her wagon and Scott pulled her to each house where she would get out and run to the door. After a quick stop home, I went out with the girls and we went up to a door that looked perfectly normal from the outside but a very scary man opened the door and scared the pooh out of all of us. Syd just stood there in shock and would not hold out her bag for the scary man to put candy in it. She ran down the steps to me and said, "Hold you Heidi!!!" It took some convincing to get her (and Avery) to go to the next door, but I walked with her and we kept telling her that no one would scare her again...we knocked on the door and yep, you guessed it...another scary man!!! Neither one of them would go to the next door so Chloie rang the doorbell while Avery and Syd hid by the garage. As soon as a normal person answered the door, they ran to get their candy. This went on for several more houses before they had the courage to go with Chloie alone.
What a great night...
